The Mini SAS SFF-8087 to 4x SFF-8482 Internal SAS Breakout Cable with Power is designed to connect a Mini SAS–enabled RAID controller directly to up to four SAS-style drives using combined data and power connectors.
This internal forward breakout cable features a 36-pin Mini SAS SFF-8087 connector on the host side and splits into four 29-pin SFF-8482 connectors, each integrating data and SATA power delivery. This removes the need for separate power cables and simplifies internal server cabling.
The cable is commonly used in server and RAID configurations where a controller provides Mini SAS SFF-8087 outputs and individual drives require SFF-8482 connections with power.
