This Micro USB-B male to Mini USB-B male OTG cable is designed for direct data communication between compatible USB OTG-enabled devices. It allows Micro USB devices, such as certain Android smartphones or tablets, to connect directly to Mini USB peripherals including digital cameras, GPS units and legacy equipment without the need for a computer.
For USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality to operate correctly, at least one connected device must support USB OTG and have OTG enabled. Device compatibility depends on manufacturer and operating system implementation.
